I have grown up surrounded by pets; dogs, cats, rabbits, a goldfish the cat brought back from the neighbour's pond and (after years of wearing my dad down) a beautiful horse. So it was only natural to combine my love of art with my love of animals. This led on to me producing numerous portraits for people of the animals they love most.

 

I work mainly in soft pastel on paper or acrylic on canvas but can also happily produce portraits in watercolour or pencil.

 

The key to capturing a good likeness of your pet is to have a good photo as a reference. A pleasing composition with as much detail as possible and it's always useful to have several images to refer to.

 

Depending on locality, I also offer the option of coming to take photos of your pet where possible. The images are yours to keep after the portrait is completed.

 

I have some standard sizes and prices but, just as all animals are unique, I am happy to discuss bespoke pieces.
